The Colonie Guilderland Rotary Club is actively seeking new members. There are things that all Rotary club members have in common:

  • We are people of action. As community volunteers, we reach out to neighbors in need. We build, support, and organize. We save lives. We work locally and globally.

  • Around the world and around the corner, there are 1.2 million men and women of Rotary.

  • We are involved in our communities.

  • We connect with other professionals.

  • We share our time & experience with young people

  • We support global causes, like eradicating polio.

  • We use our skills to help others.

Whether you're a veteran volunteer or new to community service, we're looking for people like you!

We are currently meeting on Zoom each week on Tuesdays at 11:30 am. If you are interested in joining us, contact us via this site and we will share the link.

Guests are welcome. Anyone interested in one of our speakers, programs or service projects, or anyone interested in learning more about Rotary is welcome to attend.

Due to Covid-19 we have suspended some of our normal fund raising events.

Any donations to the Club will be used wisely and greatly appreciated.

Our fundraising supports various programs such as Albany Ronald McDonald House, Guilderland Food Pantry,  college scholarships for local students, Pure Water for the World, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the recovery community including Second Chance Opportunities, and the Rotary Foundation.

Club Events

The Second Annual Amazing Race to Recovery in 2020 was a great success . Thanks to the over 140 participants, more than 40 volunteers, the businesses that hosted challenges and all our sponsors. We raised $15,750 dollars to support people in recovery through Second Chance Opportunities.

Due to CoVid-19, our golf tournament in 2020 was cancelled.

Plans for the 2021 golf event will be announced in 2021.

Thanks for the support of Rotary Clubs and others that donanted to our Communtiy Filter Project in Honduras. The project which is now fully funded will allow for construction of a community bio-sand filter that would provide clean water to more than 1500 people and a school with over 500 children in Trojes, Honduras. The total project cost is approx. $77,000.
We were also able to provide $15,600 in support a project to provide training in hygiene, install of 35 individual home filters, and construct 21 latrines and 5 rain water harvesting tanks in Las Mieles. Total project cost $22,500
